Significance: This building contributes to the integrity of design, workmanship, setting, and sense of time and place of Singer's Tavern group. / Avery J. and Julia Singer constructed the Employees/Boys Dorm building around 1918, making it one of the earliest built structures at Singer's Lake Crescent Tavern. Presumably, it was constructed to house seasonal employees working at the resort. Since 1951 the building has received substantial alterations: exterior walls have been resided; and an elongated ell entryway has been added to the west wall. In terms of scale, materials, and general design, the Employees/Boys Dorm is compatible with the Singer's Lake Crescent building ensemble.
